Well, we’re definitely experiencing our share of winter frontal systems. However, after watching the weather affecting the rest of the country, we’ve been very lucky indeed. In our little corner of the world, we just went through back, to back, to back fronts with a short break before we’re getting our next system rolling in on January, 26th. Interesting enough, they seem to come through during some of our best tides. So, on those already low tides the north winds and condensed cold water have made navigation a bit tricky. In fact, just last week we saw some of the lowest water conditions I’ve seen in a long time. All that being said, the trout fishing has been consistent when the water has had a chance to warm up a with some help from the sun. We’ll see how things warm up after this next week of cold temperatures goes through; and they should chew pretty good as they’ll have been hunkered down for quite a while.
