After spending some time on the east side of the harbor, I’ve been seeing more and more redfish grouping up along several shorelines. As well, many of these redfish have been good sized and look to be upper or over slot fish. Some shorelines have been active on an incoming while others have shown better on the out going. In both cases, the beginning of the tide stage has been best. Too, they haven’t always been tight to the bushes as I’m seeing many out on the flat away from the shoreline. I’ll still throw a weedless fly or soft plastic as I never know when I’m going to need to make a shot up towards the mangroves. Moreover, even though we’ve been receiving a lot of rain, the water has been mostly clear providing some good sight casting possibilities. This should only improve as November approaches.
